5 signs it’s time to sanitize

With time, your air conditioner will start to show signs of age. At the point where you start noticing the symptoms, you’re probably overdue for a sanitization. Regularly sanitizing your system not only improves air quality and improves energy efficiency, it also lengthens the life of your system.

Before you start thinking about replacing your system, let’s look at some of the signs you may need to sanitize.

1. Your air conditioner is more than a few years old.

Most people don’t think much about their air conditioner for the first few years after buying it. Imagine if you took that approach to your car’s oil changes. Air conditioners are the perfect environment for the proliferation of mold, bacteria, and viruses. Dust and humidity are present from day one, and it won’t take long before your air conditioner is a hot bed of activity that affects both your health and your electric bill.

2. Yor air conditioner isn’t cooling as quickly as it used to

Have you noticed that it takes longer to cool your home, or maybe it never arrives. It could be a technical problem, low gas, or other issue, but it could also be clogged coils reducing the system efficiency. Don’t live with it, ask your A.C. guy to take a look. Sanitization may be all that’s needed to get you back in comfort in no time.

3. Your allergies are acting up

Probably he most important factor relating to indoor air quality is your HVAC system. Often people believe that changing the filters is enough to keep the system clean and the air fresh, but it’s just not the case. While expensive air filters may slow the buildup of allergens and pollutants in your system, they won’t stop them, and with time you’ll notice a reduced quality in the air you’re breathing.

If you’re noticing that your allergies are getting worse, you’re seeing more dust around the house, or the air just doesn’t feel right, it’s probably time to sanitize your system.

4. You’re spending more than you used to

Running your air conditioner is expensive, we all know it. Sometimes though you get the feeling that you’re spending more than you should. As air conditioners age and have a build up of dust and other pollutants, they become less efficient, causing them to work harder and longer than they did before. This is why you’re seeing higher energy bills.

A true AIRsana sanitization restores a system to a like new state that will can make a big difference on that monthly bill.

5. It’s starting to break down

Like any piece of machinery, an air conditioner requires proper maintenance to continue working. The same problems that cause a loss of energy efficiency also put a significantly higher strain on the system. This increased strain will result in a shortened life span and costly repairs.

If you notice leaks, bad odors, lack of cooling or other problems that have you calling your AC maintenance company for help, the solution might be a good sanitization.

Sanitize for your health, for your wallet, and for the environment

There are many reasons to sanitize your AC system on a regular basis, first among which is that you deserve to breathe clean air. If that’s not enough, then consider the energy savings, and that reduced energy usage translates into a positive impact on the Environment.

Are you better off indoors or outdoors?

One of the great challenges facing the HVAC industry is selling services that are hard to see. You can show someone a dirty filter and they’ll agree to change it. People know when their air conditioner stops working and so they’ll pay to replace it. What about air quality and…
